Employee Spotlight: Roxanne Williams

Roxanne WilliamsRoxanne Williams, BS, RVT, VTS (Anesthesia) recently became the only veterinary technician anesthetist in Lubbock! Roxanne provides high quality care for patients undergoing anesthetic procedures at Animal Medical Center and oversees their care before, during and after the procedure. She is the region's only specialist in anesthesia and 1 of only 4 veterinary technician anesthetists in the state of Texas. As an expert in veterinary anesthesia and pain management, she strives to provide your pet with the best possible experience.

Roxanne graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in veterinary nursing in August 2004. After passing both state and national exams, she became a registered veterinary technologist (RVT) in January 2005. In 2008, she began the rigorous process of becoming a veterinary technician anesthetist. After the lengthy application and training process, she was accepted to sit for examination which she passed in September 2010.

She is a proud member of several professional organizations including: The Academy of Veterinary Technician Anesthetists, the International Academy of Veterinary Pain management, the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, and the Texas Association of Registered Veterinary Technicians.
