    Polk
    DVM, Owner

    Dr. Polk is a graduate of Monterey High School, Texas Tech University and a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been associated with Animal Medical Center since 1993. He is a member of the AVMA, President of the SPVMA and the South Plains representative for the TVMA where he serves on the Companion Animal committee.  He is also on the steering committee for the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine.  He and his wife have 2 girls.  Dr. Polk’s loves anything involving water, like wake surfing and scuba diving.

    Propp
    DVM, Owner

    Dr. Propp was born in Germany but raised in Azle, Texas.  He attended West Texas A&M University and 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.  He joined Animal Medical Center in June 2011.  He became co-owner of the practice in 2018.  Dr. Propp is a member of AVMA, TVMA, and SPVMA. He and his wife have a son and a daughter. Dr. Propp enjoys spending time with family, sports and snow skiing.

    Ford
    DVM

    Dr. Ford is a transplant from the southeast Texas town of Orange, but has lived in West Texas since she graduated from Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She joined our practice in August of 2017 and is a member of AVMA, TVMA, and SPVMA. She has four dogs: Suede, Secret, Chap, and Sage, and she also has two Quarter Horses. Her interests include cooking, CrossFit, and water sports.

    Temple
    DVM

    Dr. Temple is a Lubbock native and graduate of Texas Tech University.  She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Lincoln Memorial University in 2018.  She joined Animal Medical Center in 2019.  She is especially interested in surgery, including abdominal and orthopedic procedures.  When not at the office, she loves hanging with her feisty crew of Chihuahuas.

    Vanier
    DVM

    Dr. Vanier grew up in Salado, Tx.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2020.  She and her husband have she has a house full of labs and 2 cats. In her free time, Dr. Vanier enjoys running, antiquing and spending time at her family’s cattle ranch in Rotan.

    Bailey

    Dr. Lindsay Bailey was born and raised in Big Spring, Tx. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas Tech University and is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the AVMA and TVMA and has an interest in both internal medicine and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing and the outdoors.

    Merritt

    Dr. Kiera Merritt is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian from Kyle, Texas. With a profound love for animals that began in her early years, Kiera’s journey led her to Texas A&M Veterinary School, where she graduated with honors as part of the Class of 2023.
    Her unwavering passion for veterinary medicine is only rivaled by her affection for her two beloved cats and a playful corgi, who have been constant sources of inspiration and joy in her life. Dr. Merritt’s commitment to the well-being of all creatures, great and small, is the driving force behind her career, making her a trusted and compassionate advocate for the health and happiness of pets throughout her community.
    Beyond her professional life, Dr. Merritt enjoys the quiet pleasures of reading, diving into the worlds of literature in her free time. In addition to her love for books, she’s also taken up a thrilling new hobby – snowboarding.

    Office Manager

    Stuart has been working at Animal Medical Center for 20 plus years!  He enjoys working with our clients, some of whom have been coming here since he started working.  He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico but raised in Lubbock. Stuart graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.  He loves spending time with his family, being at the lake and hunting.

    Rowntree
    Relief DVM

    Dr. Rowntree is from Kingwood, Texas. She received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 1997 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 from Texas A&M University. She has practiced in Lubbock since 2001. She joined Animal Medical Center as a relief veterinarian in 2011. Her special interests include internal medicine and preventative medicine. Dr. Rowntree is married and has 2 girls. She also has a dog, a cat, and a saltwater fish tank. She enjoys going to the beach, painting and playing the piano and guitar. You will see Dr. Rowntree from time to time as she serves as our relief veterinarian.

    Farley
    DVM – RETIRED

    Dr. Farley is a graduate of Monterey High School, Texas Tech University & a 1975 graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in Odessa for 2 years before coming to Lubbock in 1977. He started practicing at AMC in 1982. Dr. Farley is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA), and the South Plains Veterinary Medical Association (SPVMA). He was voted Best Veterinarian in Lubbock for the years 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. Dr. Farley was also voted Exotic Veterinarian of the Year in 1999. His interests include cycling and spending time with his family. Dr. Farley retired from the practice in December 2012.

    DVM – RETIRED

    Dr. Preston is a graduate of Coronado High School, Texas Tech University and a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He has practiced in Lubbock since 1984 and has been with Animal Medical Center since 1988. He is a member of the AVMA, TVMA, and SPVMA. Dr. Preston and his wife have 1 daughter and 2 sons as well as 2 dogs and 4 cats, two of which are hairless cats! Dr. Preston enjoys hunting, fly fishing, and spending time with his triplets.
